The articulated electric balanced manipulator SHBM-250-M pro is designed for safe, precise, and convenient handling of heavy loads weighing up to 250 kg. The unit features a reinforced structure for reliable operation under increased load and a balanced articulated system that ensures easy load movement.
Purpose and Design Features
The SHBM-250-M pro manipulator is used in production areas where high precision and repeatability are required when handling loads in areas with restricted overhead access. The design provides smooth, jerk-free operation with minimal effort from the operator. Thanks to reinforced structural elements, the model ensures stable operation with loads weighing up to 250 kg while maintaining high ergonomics.
Standardization and Compatibility with Grippers
The equipment can be fitted with any load-handling device specified in the technical requirements. The rigid mounting system ensures secure load holding during operation. Gripper replacement is performed quickly and does not require special tools. This makes the manipulator a versatile solution for handling a wide range of objects, including non-standard or long loads.
Control System
The model is equipped with an electromechanical control system. Vertical movement is performed by a gear motor with an electromagnetic brake and a variable frequency drive (VFD), providing smooth speed control. Direction and speed are controlled with one hand using a handle mounted on the gripper head. When the handle is tilted upward or downward, the load starts moving accordingly, while the speed depends on the tilt angle.
The control system is highly intuitive, and operator training takes no more than a few hours.
Manipulator Structure
The SHBM-250-M pro manipulator includes the following elements:
- Drive head, mounted on a rotary support structure, allows 360° boom rotation around the vertical axis. All rotating units are mounted on rolling bearings for easy rotation.
- Articulated boom, consisting of a main and secondary arm, is balanced by a spring system. Radial load movement takes place horizontally with virtually no effort.
- Gripper head is located at the end of the boom, can rotate around the vertical axis, and is equipped with a clamp for interchangeable load-handling devices. The control handle on the head allows the operator to control vertical movement and guide horizontal movement.
- Lifting drive, based on a rack-and-pinion mechanism and gear motor, provides precise and smooth lifting and lowering.
- Protection system, including limit switches that monitor end-of-travel positions, a self-diagnostic system, overload protection, and an emergency stop button located in the control area.
Additional features:
- Status indication of variable frequency drive operating modes, power connection, and overload status.
- One-hand operation capability.
- Synchronized operation of several manipulators for handling long loads such as pipes, rails, and beams.
- Cantilevered load attachment, including servicing equipment with protruding elements such as furnaces, presses, and machine tools.
Compatible with a mobile platform*, which allows:
- placement of the manipulator in the working area without anchoring;
- relocation without disassembly;
- precise positioning within the working area;
- compensation for floor unevenness through level adjustment;
- safe forklift handling thanks to forklift fork guides.
*The mobile platform is purchased separately.
Compliance and Safety
The manipulator is manufactured in accordance with current safety, occupational health, and environmental protection regulations. The unit is certified in compliance with TR CU 010/2011 “On the Safety of Machinery and Equipment”. The design includes a complete set of safety features required for reliable and safe operation.
