Borovichi Machine-building Plant is almost 90 years old. Back in 1975, Soviet engineers created the first electromechanical hinge-balance manipulators here, which were supplied to the whole country. The company has been constantly developing, and a new milestone in its history began in 2019 with a change of management — in three years, the model range has increased 10 times, production indicators have increased many times, and contacts with new partners have been established.
Throughout its history, Borovichi Machine-Building Plant has accumulated extensive experience in the production of small-scale mechanization equipment and various types of non-standard equipment.
The determining factor of its success has always been the ability to find non-standard technological solutions and ensure high product quality.
Today, the plant develops and produces industrial manipulators and various load-handling devices and mechanisms — everything that allows automating technological processes at industrial enterprises, ensuring lean production, and optimizing the work of employees.
The range of equipment is wide — more than 20 models of manipulators of various modifications: electro-mechanical, which can lift up to 250 kg, pneumatic, working with an automatic dewatering system, with a load capacity of up to 750 kg, hydraulic, which are designed for a serious load capacity of up to 2.5 tons, and others. A large pool of load-handling devices has been developed, including solutions with complex drives and automatic product positioning. The main advantage is that the experience and high qualification of specialists allow you to individually develop non-standard manipulators and lifting devices for various industries and industries. Manipulators and other devices manufactured by the company are also used in the agricultural sector: BMZ has implemented more than one project for plants that produce agricultural machinery.
BMZ products can rightly be called unique for Russia. Firstly, they fully meet the requirements of the import substitution doctrine, and secondly, there is a full cycle of specialized production.
In recent years, the history of the plant has reached a new stage of development. In 2019, the company's management was replaced, production modernization was launched, the model range was expanded, and in 2021, with the support of the Investment Climate Improvement Council under the leadership of the Governor of the Novgorod Region, an investment project was launched to increase the volume of manipulators produced.
In 2022, BMZ will have a new partner-the Synergy Science and Technology Center from St. Petersburg.
"The STC Design Bureau and our production facilities allowed us to form a strong brand-Russian Manipulator Company (RMС). Close cooperation was also established with the Novgorod Export Support Center. All this has led to the fact that the indicators planned by the investment project by 2029 have been achieved by RMK already now — in 7 months of 2023. more than 100 manipulators were produced and shipped. In addition, export contracts for the supply of products to the Republic of Belarus have been signed and implemented," says Vladimir Polukhin, General Director of the company.
Today the plant is the only specialized developer and manufacturer of this type of equipment in the CIS, its advanced products are in demand by many companies.
